"A VISION OF JESUS" Today I looked up into the sky A vision of Jesus met my eye A beautiful smile was on His face He looked at me with so much grace. I so the nail prints in His hands He said my child, help others to understand The love that drove me to the cross Was for a world so evil and lost. When I cried out Father, forgive It was so they could believe and live I could have saved myself that day But a greater love made me stay. |
When they pierced me in the side And the crowd was yelling crucify I let perfect love have its way On the cross I chose to stay. Death couldn't hold me in the grave The Father's best gift He had gave He gave the world His only Son For you the victory has been won. The vision started to fade away But I saw Jesus as He turned to say My child, tell my children that I'm alive Their mansion is waiting on the other side. |
